Gratitude Blog 7

By: Helen Ruiz

First off, I am very grateful that it is finally the weekend. It’s been a not-so-eventful week, so I haven’t had anything to really talk about. On Friday night, I worked with some of my favorite coworkers, stayed extra late to finish my work, got everything done, and didn’t have to go in this morning.

I am super thankful I got to sleep in today. However, I slept so much that I only had 30 minutes to shower and get ready for church, which was a very hectic experience. I am very happy I was able to accomplish my mission AND be 8 minutes early.

After church and lunch, I completed yet another workout for my KINE121 class, which was a real challenge. I am very grateful my heart has become strong enough to allow me to do this fitness activity, although I did have to keep an eye on my heart rate levels.

Later in the day, I got ready for the Quinceanera of a family friend. It might sound really selfish on my part, but I always tell my mom that the best part about any type of event is the food. There was SO much to choose from, and it was all very delicious!
