Gratitude Blog: Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving break is the time of year in which everyone expresses their gratitude towards a variety of people, places, and things in their lives. Thanksgiving is one of my top two favorite holidays (along with Christmas of course) and I am thankful I got to celebrate with my family. I helped make an Ambrosia fruit salad for dessert, since not everyone in my family is a fan of pumpkin pie.

I love shopping, so I am grateful Black Friday is a thing, which is just another excuse for me to buy things for myself and others. I refused to go shopping in stores because that would’ve been chaos. Therefore, I did some online shopping Friday morning. I got some Christmas gifts, clothes, jewelry, and a bunch of shoes. My bank account hurt a bit but that’s okay.
Consequently, I am also very thankful for my job. Above all, I am grateful we got amazing food for lunch on Friday. We had a full buffet of potatoes, Italian beef sandwiches, vegetables, chicken, fruit and dessert. My theory is that good food= happy workers= outstanding sales.
Something I am also grateful for are my coworkers. We had a terrifyingly busy Black Friday week/weekend, but we worked as a team to help each other out with our tasks. Friday afternoon, I went in at 1 pm to way too many people in the store. By the end of the night, our fulfillment team stayed at a constant 500+ orders and I helped them organize product/orders until we had to call it a night at 2:30 am because we were all exhausted. I went back in at 10 am, and our overnight/ morning team was still organizing the store. I am grateful we have such a team-oriented environment because that mess wouldn’t have cleaned itself in months.
This weekend was a very chaotic one, but I am grateful for everyone in my life.
