Why I love Doing Theatre and Why I Miss It by Erin 


I didn’t realize how much I love theatre until I wasn’t doing it anymore. This Isn’t just because of the COVID-19 pandemic ether. My main theatre company started rehearsing in may a few days a week, and then we started something called tech week, which is when we rehearsed every day for two weeks leading up to a weekend of shows. Tech week rehearsals usually went from about 6 pm to 9 pm, and then we had to get out of costumes, get microphones taken off, and get ready to go home. These weeks usually happened at the end of August, when school was starting, so I was also adjusting to a new schedule, which was difficult for me. If I was having a bad day, rehearsal would cheer me up and distract me from the days’ problems for a little while. I would hang out with my friends, sing, dance, laugh and just enjoy what I was doing. Rehearsals were sometimes stressful, as everything in life is, but the good things outweighed the bad. I realized that I couldn’t juggle tech week and school all four years of high school, but it was more challenging to do in college. I actually did stage crew for a musical for the first time in March 2020 because I still wanted to be involved but didn’t have time to be in the cast. We did one out of two weekends of shows, and then COVID-19 forced everyone to go into quarantine. I realized during the pandemic how much of a passion I had for theatre and how much I missed doing it. I missed having something to pour my energy into, something to distract me from my everyday problems. I did find another thing to be passionate about, but I still miss doing theatre. Now that I’m a full-time college student, I’m struggling to find enough time to do anything outside of school work and find I have to carve out time to do the things I love. I hope I can find a way to get back to doing theatre soon.

  In the growth of smartphones in 2007  apple made basically the first touch screen held cell phone in which it was different from all of the others that was around. This tech guru Steve jobs knew at the time that he had something special. At this time he was competing with companies that were making flip phones, blackberries or even the slide up phones at the time.   In Rainbows - Radiohead Released 2007 - Genre: Art Rock, Experimental Rock While the albums I talked about in this blog are not ranked in any particular order, I can confidently say that this is my favorite album. Radiohead has always been one of my favorite bands, my original idea for this blog was to do an entry on each of their nine studio albums. In Rainbows came at a very unique point in the band’s career, as they had already seemingly reinvented the wheel twice, with the release of OK Computer in 1997, and Kid A in 2000, and their few albums since had been highly regarded but never to that same level.
