Life of a College Athlete

Coming out of high school you're told by your coaches all the time that college life is a lot harder than high school. You probably just brushed it off and said this is going to be a piece of cake. You may hate the current high school schedule you have but getting to college where you have more free time and make your own schedule around your sport is a lot harder than it is in high school where you go to class from 8 am to 3 pm then practice from 3:30 to 6:30. This is just during the season when school is in session in high school.

When you come to college the summer camp that you experience is your sport the whole day from the moment you need to be woken and eating breakfast to the moment you need to be in your bed going to sleep. This will test how you really feel about the sport you love and how dedicated you are to the sport you love the most. The dream for every high school student is to play in college and tell the hard truth of how hard and different things are from high school to college. The summer you will spend with your teammates the most to gain trust and build a family within the team to be able to build and get ready for a great season.

This is a quick look into a college football players summer schedule. Every hour of there day is planned out from the moment they wake up tell the moment they need to be in their beds sleeping getting ready to do this all over the next day. This schedule will change a little bit when it comes to school starting and players having different class schedule.

The struggle of finding time to be around friends outside of sports is possible but it's a hard grind college athletes tend to. You have to make sure you dedicate the majority of your time and effort to your sport along with getting your class work done as well. The most important thing a college athlete needs is sleep and that is how you are able to keep going each and everyday to be the best student along with the best athlete as well.

To win a National Championship it takes a lot of hard work and deviation in the classroom and work ethic in your sport.
